Job Overview
As a Golf Operations Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the golf courses. Your responsibilities will focus on power cart management, driving range maintenance, and supporting events and tournaments. This position provides up to 40 hours per week, with shifts that include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hourly pay ranges from $17.20 to $18.92, making it an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience while working in a scenic, outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties as a Golf Operations Assistant will include:
- Power Cart Management:
- Stage power carts for golfers at the start of their rounds.
- Maintain carts by cleaning them thoroughly after use.
- Safely store carts at the end of each day.
Driving Range Maintenance:
- Pick and replenish golf balls at both public and instructional ends of the range (specific to BraeBen).
- Provide shuttle service to and from the range as required.
Event and Tournament Assistance:
- Support the setup and daily operations of golf tournaments and special events.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure seamless execution of events.
Facility Cleanliness:
- Assist with keeping the facility clean and presentable for golfers and visitors.
- Monitor common areas and address any maintenance issues promptly.
Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Customer Service Skills: The ability to interact with golfers in a professional and courteous manner is essential. Strong communication and organizational skills are also required to handle power cart services and enforce golf course rules effectively.
- Problem-Solving Ability: A quick thinker who can make informed decisions while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is necessary for the role.
- Certifications: Applicants must hold a current Emergency First Aid and CPR “B” certification.
- Flexibility: Availability for weekday, weekend, and holiday shifts is required. Shifts may include early mornings and late evenings.
