Key Responsibilities

As a Guest Services Associate, your duties will include:

  • Welcoming and Assisting Guests:
    • Greet patrons warmly and scan tickets to ensure smooth entry.

    • Provide directional assistance for amenities like washrooms, concessions, and exits.
  • Ensuring Safety and Order:

  • Venue Maintenance and Policy Enforcement:
    • Perform custodial duties to keep the venue clean and presentable.
    • Enforce facility policies, such as prohibitions on food, beverages, and unauthorized recordings.
    • Manage crowd control by organizing lines and preventing overcrowding.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
    • Respond quickly to potential hazards, fire alarms, or other emergencies.
    • Stay prepared to handle unexpected situations, such as first aid incidents or evacuations.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Address guest inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
    • Distribute programs or giveaways as required.
    • Act as an ambassador for the city, providing information about local attractions and amenities.

Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Minimum Age: Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Education: A secondary school diploma is required.

Certifications:

  1. A valid Emergency First Aid Certificate/CPR "B" certification is mandatory.
  2. Smart Serve Certification is recommended, particularly for events involving alcohol service.
  3. Customer Service Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations are essential.
  4. Flexibility: Willingness to work late hours, weekends, and holidays is a must.
