Position: Temporary Sales Associate
Adidas Originals Sherway Store is looking for enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to join its retail team as Temporary Sales Associates. Job Purpose
As a Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is to assist customers in finding the products that best meet their needs. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, promoting merchandise, and ensuring smooth sales transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Help customers select adidas products, providing detailed information about materials, technology, and functionality.
- Uphold adidas’ customer service standards by listening to customer needs and offering tailored recommendations.
- Utilize adidas’ selling techniques and in-store AOS system (where available) to drive and close sales.
- Accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized store appearance, assist with inventory replenishment, and address customer inquiries.
- Stay informed about adidas products, promotions, and advertising campaigns.
- Foster a team environment by respecting and collaborating with co-workers.
- Adhere to company policies related to inventory control and maintain accountability for store standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by store management.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To succeed in this role, candidates should:
- Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
- Be customer-focused and demonstrate excellent service and interpersonal skills.
- Have basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
- Operate a point-of-sale system and demonstrate basic cash-handling proficiency.
- Display strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Maintain physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle merchandise weighing up to 34 kg.
- Be flexible to work evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Back-to-School).
Qualifications
Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Retail experience (3–6 months) is preferred but not mandatory.
