Position: Team Leader
Adidas is seeking a motivated and experienced Team Leader to join its Mirabel store team. This leadership position supports the store's sales, profitability, and operational goals by guiding hourly associates and ensuring smooth daily operations. Job Purpose
As a Team Leader, you will act as a mentor and motivator for hourly associates, ensuring they deliver outstanding customer service and meet sales targets. You will work closely with the management team to drive store objectives and provide training and support to team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist management in guiding daily store operations and hourly associates to achieve excellent customer service and maximize sales.
- Provide positive reinforcement to team members to foster a high-energy, results-oriented environment.
- Conduct training sessions for sales associates on product knowledge, store activities, job duties, and policies.
- Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and completing documentation for new hires.
- Support merchandise display, ensuring products are presented to attract attention and boost sales.
- Use customer service, training tools, and communication to align staff performance with store goals.
- Process customer transactions efficiently, including cash, credit, and check payments.
- Maintain inventory flow from the stockroom to the sales floor and communicate product levels to management.
- Handle customer complaints, examine returned merchandise, and resolve issues to promote goodwill.
- Lead by example by participating in sales, customer service, and store upkeep.
- Implement merchandising plans and contribute to sales floor adjustments, markdowns, and inventory replenishment.
- Ensure the highest level of adidas service is provided to every customer.
- Use selling techniques such as upselling and product recommendations to enhance sales and train associates on these methods.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
Skills and Abilities
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and guide a team.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise up to 12 kg frequently, and occasionally up to 34 kg.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak sales periods.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least three to six months of retail experience preferred.
