Salary: $17.20 per hour + gratuities
Hours: 10 to 25 hours per week

Spicy Thai Restaurant in St. Catharines is seeking a dedicated and energetic Food and Beverage Server to join our team. If you have experience in food service, enjoy engaging with customers, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Job Responsibilities:
As a Food and Beverage Server at Spicy Thai, you will play a crucial role in providing a positive dining experience for our customers. Your duties will include:
- Serving Food and Beverages: Take orders and serve food and drinks to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
- Customer Interaction: Greet patrons, present menus, describe menu items, and advise on wine and food selections. Address any questions regarding food and beverages.
- Customer Service: Handle customer concerns and complaints with tact, ensuring their satisfaction with the dining experience.
- Alcohol Service: Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages while adhering to provincial liquor regulations.
- Processing Payments: Present bills to customers and accept payments in various forms, including cash, credit/debit cards, and travelers' cheques.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, ensuring a neat dining area.
- Support the Team: Assist in maintaining a smooth workflow by collaborating with kitchen and bar staff.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in food and beverage service.
- Smart Serve Certification: Must have or be willing to obtain a Smart Serve certification.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong oral communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle up to 50 lbs of weight.
- Client Focus: A customer-centric attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Transportation: Own transportation is preferred, though public transportation is available.
