Position Overview
The Customer Service Agent 3 is integral to the smooth operation of Ontario DriveTest Centres. You will assist the public in various stages of the driver licensing process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and a positive customer experience. From answering inquiries and verifying documentation to collecting fees and administering tests, this role offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with driver licensing services and provide accurate information.
- Evaluate eligibility for various classes of Ontario driver’s licenses.
- Review and verify applicants' identity documents for validity.
- Administer vision screening, knowledge tests (written and oral), and issue temporary licenses.
- Schedule and dispatch road tests.
- Collect fees for transactions and maintain records.
- Investigate errors on driver records and initiate corrections.
- Comply with health, safety, and confidentiality regulations.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma (GED) or higher.
- Successful completion of Serco’s Customer Service Agent training program.
- A valid Ontario Class G driver’s license.
Experience and Knowledge:
- At least two years of customer service experience with a proven track record of excellence.
- Familiarity with the Highway Traffic Act, related regulations, and government policies.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in relevant software.

Working Conditions
This position involves interaction with the public in a professional office setting. While the work environment is safe and secure, the role may occasionally require extended hours or Saturday shifts during peak periods. A formal training program, including classroom instruction and on-the-job shadowing, will be provided.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Mental: Moderate to high intensity for 4+ hours daily.
- Physical: Low-intensity activity for less than 2 hours daily.
