Position: Full-Time Team Lead
Adidas is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join its team as a Full-Time Team Lead at the Adidas Originals Store in Montreal. This leadership role provides an exciting opportunity to guide hourly associates in their day-to-day activities, ensuring excellent customer service and supporting store goals such as sales, profitability, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the store, guiding the activities of hourly associates to ensure customer satisfaction and maximize sales.
- Provide positive reinforcement to associates, fostering momentum and helping them reach their full potential.
- Conduct one-on-one or group training sessions for Sales Associates on product knowledge, job duties, and store policies.
- Assist with the hiring process, including completing documentation for applicants and new hires.
- Work with the management team to display merchandise effectively, including clothing, footwear, and accessories, to attract customers and boost sales.
- Use customer service, training, and communication tools to develop associates and align with store goals.
- Oversee merchandise displays, either by following store management’s plan or creating new setups.
- Help manage staffing and labor cost control to maintain efficiency.
- Attain proficiency with the point of sale system and ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Complete regular sales transactions, including handling cash, credit, and checks.
- Participate in product ticketing and verify paperwork against received items.
- Assist with moving products from the stockroom to the sales floor as needed.
- Monitor sales floor activity and maintain the flow of stock.
- Communicate with management about product levels, floor changes, shipments, and markdowns.
- Perform sales, customer service, and merchandising duties, leading by example and ensuring staff coverage.
- Direct and assist in maintaining store cleanliness and upkeep.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Must demonstrate the competencies required for the role.
- Ability to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Problem-solving skills to manage standardized situations involving multiple variables.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and point-of-sale systems.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Willingness to work overtime during peak sales periods (e.g., Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Back-to-School).
- Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms. Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 12 kg frequently and up to 34 kg occasionally.
Qualifications
- Must have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED.
- Three to six months of retail experience is preferred.
